What Makes the Difference?

HDPE Plastic

Dura Shield composite decking is manufactured with HDPE (High-density polyethylene), which is a kind of common plastic but has better performance in wearing resistance, thermostability and strength than other plastic. Since the feature of high-density, Dura Shield composite decking does well in waterproof as well, which is the better option for outdoor.

HDPE vs PVC Decking Comparison

PVC Plastic

Most of WPC manufacturers choose PVC plastic as the raw material since the cost will be lower. However, the main contents are virgin plastic, which is less environmental than WPC. Though PVC decking is much lighter than WPC, the density is lower as well. PVC decking is not good in waterproof and is easy to swell. Compared with HDPE products, it's better for indoor decoration as the colour are rich and suitable for some irregular profile.

Dura Shield vs Traditional Wood

Dura Shield WPC Decking

Dura Shield WPC Decking stands as a cutting-edge solution, seamlessly blending the natural allure of wood with the innovative features of Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) technology. Crafted from a fusion of wood fibers and recycled plastic materials, Dura Shield WPC Decking redefines outdoor living. Its distinct advantage lies in its unparalleled durability — resistant to rot, mold, and insect damage. The 3D wood grain patterns offer an authentic aesthetic, providing a range of color and texture options to suit diverse preferences.

WPC vs Traditional Wood Comparison

Traditional Wood

While wood decking has long been a symbol of classic outdoor elegance, it comes with inherent challenges that Dura Shield WPC Decking gracefully addresses. Traditional wood decks, while initially charming, demand meticulous maintenance. Regular sealing and staining are essential to prevent rot, insect infestations, and decay. The susceptibility to warping, splintering, and color fading poses continuous challenges for homeowners.
